
Hana, which means labor in Hawaiian, is a quiet town at the east end of the famed Hana Highway. Attractions include Hasegawa's General Store, a cultural center, botanical gardens and historic churches.
Also home to the Hotel Hana-Maui, built in 1946 as a retreat for movie stars and other wealthy patrons. Just west of Hana, off route 31, is Palapala Ho'omau Church, where aviator Charles Lindbergh is buried.
